2023 ITE Washington Safety Conference
he ITE Washington State Section is excited to host the annual Safety Conference on Tuesday November 14, 2023. This year’s all-day conference will focus on ‘Working Together to Get Back on Track’ and features speakers from a variety of different agencies and organizations. This conference will be a hybrid event, held both in-person at the Renton Community Center and offered virtually. Link will be sent to those who indicate to they will be attending virtually
Breakfast, coffee breaks, and lunch will be served.
Parking is free of charge at the venue.

2023 – 2024 September ITE Kick-off Meeting
At this meeting we will hear from Ryan Avery from University of Washington talk about “Transit Rider Insights Gleaned from ORCA Fare Card Data” TRAC has worked with King County Metro, Sound Transit, and area employers on a project to process ORCA data to provide dashboard analytics to support planning. This talk will focus on area-wide trends and changes in ridership since COVID and welcome discussion on how “post-COVID” ridership may continue to evolve. on what the future might hold from the perspective of a local city.

Safety Solutions: Effective Investing to Reach Target Zero
The ITE Washington State Section is hosting the annual Traffic Safety Conference on November 10, 2022. This year’s all-day conference is themed Safety Solutions: Effective Investing to Reach Target Zero. It will be a hybrid event: held both in-person at the Renton Community Center (1715 SE Maple Valley Hwy, Renton) and offered virtually.
In addition to presentations on local traffic safety work, the conference features:
o Mark McKechnie, Washington Traffic Safety Commission
o Fred Wegman, International Traffic Safety Data and Analysis Group, Delft University of Technology
o Robert Wunderlich, Texas A & M Transportation Institute This all-day event includes meals for those participating in person and offers Professional Development Hours. The price of the conference is free for students and $95 for all others.
